Opioid prescribing limits earn bipartisan support

Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) proposed legislation to limit initial opioid prescriptions for acute pain to seven days, modeled after policies already in effect in several states.
